Law
firms are generally not good at keeping track of client details once
the matter is completed and
the
accounts
system has moved on to track active matters. When a new client
record is created in LawPro a contact record is created
automatically and once the accounts department is finished with the client record, the contact record is
still there. The
contact record keeps track of name and address, telephone and email
details as well as recording the nature of the work done.
This can be used
simply as an enquiry database or the details can be extended to
incorporate marketing information. Links with Word will then allow
the firm to selectively target contacts with information about
changes in the law, services provided by your firm or just to get
your Christmas
cards out.
